Yay Friday nite is here....project submitted....beautiful weekend ahead..hopefully.

We had the last chiong-ing project session at PGP after HR today...so god damn tired, class from 9-12 then must stay back after tht to continue....I even fell asleep at the common reading area in PGP OMG...how embarrassing is tht...but seriously so tired until unglam pun unglam la heck.I think I must have slept for a good one hour or so....

The funniest thing was, I dreamt about sleeping on the same place n i shifted myself to sleep on the floor so I could lie down....and ppl who walked past all look at me semacam....but i was soooo tired i couldnt even drag myself up despite the embarrassment...GG

then after submit project still got 4pm lecture...everyone practically died in lecture today....what a scene!

been rushing project thts due this Fri...had the longest meeting in my life on monday....sat at the KR lobby from 11am-7pm....thank god its in KR if not I would have thrown a BF if it was held elsewhere for such long grueling hours...however,KR is such a cheapskate in terms of providing sufficient lightings....FUCUK!

Had another meeting again this morning at school...hopefully can get things done by thurs n print out the damn thing to submit on fri...n maybe shove it down the lecturer's throat if we happen to see him !!!

I am sooooo satisfied right now...because I just went thru a crazy 2 hours of physical training for soccer....n since we combined with the touchrug ppl, it was extra crazyyyy....

Sprint up hill, Lunges downhill, 20 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, 20 steps, 20 leg raisers, 20 supermans, n other things which i dont know what they call it....weird names gosh!
Then repeat whole set....in 30 then 40 then 50....in total we did five sets...OMG..lovesss it....
if i start to train like this at least twice a week, wowww....hot bod here i come babaaayyyy!!

Then again, dont think I will want to do that anytime soon...nyeaahahaha...will try to siam it to the max if i can...today's one also kena "caught" wan actually....damn it....i sacrificed myself to see the dance performance then I was Spotted by the team...boooo pian to the max....GG!!!!

The building structure in NUS turns out to be pretty amazing...because everywhere is connected and sheltered!!!
It was pouring cats n dogs when i left my 9pm lecture....so I figure, there MUST be a way to get to the bus stop from SDE...n so i walked aimlessly into Engine....n to my amusement, I saw the sign towards Central!!!then I remembered there's a linkway from Engine to Central....OMG rocks!!!!Shut up okay, Im not from Engine so dont judge...

N since its raining so heavily, I couldnt get to the bus stop at Central either...so I walked all the way to YIH from between Central n Engine....

Once I reached YIH, i waited for a good five mins n suddenly remembered that there is actually a sheltered pathway all the way back to hall!!!!n so I decided to just walk back coz I will still get wet when I board the bus from YIH bus stop!HAHAHA what shit!

N i walked n walked n walked all the way from YIH to Biz.....so syiokkk with the cooling weather n rain.....

OK some weekend shitzzz.

My busy friday ended with a bang with Katong Laksa at Queensway with Babe.loves it.
Was suppose to eat at IKEA la but had to rush back for Tech class so....(coz of the stupid jam we arrived late urghhh)

Went there to scout for cheap formal wear from Club Marc but ended up not buying (coz the stuff there really sucked no wonder its so cheap n rejected blehhh)...or rather..buying for the sake of buying since we came all the way...n so i bought one formal shirt n Bixs bought one pair of sandals....damn its been a long time since i ate laksa so it tasted extra special...k wateverrr

Does drinkng alcohol shrink your brain?

What's good for the heart may hurt the brain, according to a new study of the effects of alcohol.

According to the study findings, the more alcohol consumed, the smaller the brain volume. (GG!!!!!!!)

People who drink alcohol -- even the moderate amounts that help prevent heart disease -- have a smaller brain volume than those who do not, according to a study in the Archives of Neurology.

While a certain amount of brain shrinkage is normal with age, greater amounts in some parts of the brain have been linked to dementia.

"Decline in brain volume -- estimated at 2 percent per decade -- is a natural part of aging," says Carol Ann Paul, who conducted the study when she was at the Boston University School of Public Health. She had hoped to find that alcohol might protect against such brain shrinkage.

"However, we did not find the protective effect," says Paul, who is now an instructor in the neuroscience program at Wellesley College. "In fact, any level of alcohol consumption resulted in a decline in brain volume."

In the study, Paul and colleagues looked at 1,839 healthy people with an average age of about 61. The patients underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain and reported how much they tippled.

Overall, the more alcohol consumed, the smaller the brain volume, with abstainers having a higher brain volume than former drinkers, light drinkers (one to seven drinks per week), moderate drinkers (eight to 14 drinks per week), and heavy drinkers (14 or more drinks per week).

Men were more likely to be heavy drinkers than women. But the link between brain volume and alcohol wasn't as strong in men. For men, only those who were heavy drinkers had a smaller brain volume than those who consumed little or no alcohol.

In women, even moderate drinkers had a smaller brain volume than abstainers or former drinkers.

It's not clear why even modest amounts of alcohol may shrink the brain, although alcohol is "known to dehydrate tissues, and constant dehydration can have negative effects on any sensitive tissue," says Paul.

"We always knew that alcohol at higher dosages results in shrinking of the brain and cognitive deficit," says Dr. Petros Levounis, M.D., director of the Addiction Institute of New York at St. Luke's -- Roosevelt Hospital Center, who was not involved in the study. "What is new with this article is that it shows brain shrinking at lower doses of alcohol."

However, the study did not demonstrate that the smaller brain volume actually impaired memory or mental function, notes James Garbutt, M.D., professor of psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

And the differences between brain volumes in drinkers and nondrinkers were quite small -- less than 1.5 percent between abstainers and heavy drinkers.

"We're talking very small differences here," says Dr. Garbutt, who was not involved in the study. "We're not seeing 10 to 20 percent shrinkage."

However, he says, reduction in brain mass is an interesting finding. "But we have a long way to go to figure out the implications of it."
